Our Process

Stage 1 - The Preparation

1) Initital Contact
The initial contact will usually include a telephone call and/or an exchange of emails, we will use this opportunity to establish your core requirements for design/development, timescale and budget.

2) Kick Off Meeting
At the kick off meeting we will discuss any existing website & hosting (if applicable), the requirements of your new website (inc. content and sitemap), agree definitive timescales, review current and potential competition and consider how the website can be promoted.

3) Quotation
Depending on the complexity of the project, a quotation will normally be provided within 48 hours of the kick off meeting where possible. If the quote is accepted a 40% deposit is invoiced and work can commence as soon as this paid.

Stage 2 - The Build

4) Website Design
The website design draft will be based on the brief and your favourite website designs. The design draft will be made available via email as PNG format for feedback and amendments. Once the necessary design changes have been made and you are happy with the design we will request design sign off so work on the templates can commence.

5) Template Building
Your website design will be built into W3C compliant CSS/XHTML templates. These templates will be validated and tested across a number of web browsers. All of our websites are tested in Internet Explorer (6, 7 and 8), Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera (other browsers are tested on request).

6) Content Management System Implementation
After the templates have been fully tested they are implemented into the Content Management System (CMS). If you have chosen a static brochure website this step is not required as we will be managing the site content for you.

7) Content
If you have selected a CMS the content will be added by Interactive Red or yourself depending on what is agreed at the kick off meeting. For technical reasons, all static brochure websites require Interactive Red to add the content.

8) Testing and Validation
When the website is fully operational a second round of validation and testing will take place. This will detect and resolve any issues caused by the CMS and/or content.

Stage 3 - Completion

9) Final Sign Off
Upon completion of the site build the site will be provided to you for review and testing. We will discuss any outstanding issues via email or telephone. We also will agree a date to make the new website live.

10) Site Live
After any amendments from the final review have been completed the site will be made live. Following the successful launch of the site a final invoice will be issued for the remaining 60% of the website cost. At this stage you will have the opportunity to arrange a training session for the CMS if required.
