Competing against Aberdeen, Chester, Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea and Leicester among others the Kent bid for the prestigious prize of UK City of Culture represents the five districts of Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Shepway and Thanet. Interactive Red have been appointed as the campaign’s digital agency delivering online resources and tools to promote the project.

The organisation responsible for policing the UK cookie law has just announced that they will stop asking users for permission to set cookies on their own website. The ICO have acknowledged that people are now more aware of cookies and therefore feel it’s appropriate to rely on “responsible implementation of implied consent”.

Bombus have today been awarded the E-commerce in Kent Award 2012, judged by a panel of six judges the Bombus website fought off competition from 9 other finalists to claim the top spot of “Best Online Shop”.

Amelia Coward, Managing Director at Bombus was presented the “Best Online Shop” award by Alan Noake, Founder of the awards ceremony – now in it’s fifth year – at The White Cliffs Hotel, St Margaret’s Bay near Dover on Friday 2nd November 2012.
